Our History - la Nostra Storia

The Founding of the Auburn Lodge #1955

Our lodge was founded in March 1947 by the Seattle Sons of Italy Lodge #1390 (now the Seattle-Fedele Lodge). The Seattle lodge sponsored the Auburn Sons of Italy for being chartered by the Supreme Lodge OSIA (Order Sons of Italy of America). The Auburn area had many Italian Americans living in the area. Many were railroad workers while others were farmers in the Green River valley. Today we have members who live as far away as Graham, Spanaway and Gig Harbor. What started as a handfull of people with a common heritage has grown to a family of over 230 members.

As Mario Santelli says:
"Bona Fortuna."
