2017 Annual Auburn Clean Sweep

This year's project was the painting of the new over head beams for the new Car Show Park addition in Les Gove Park. Other Auburn SOI members volunteered with the Auburn Rotary or at other activities so we do not want to over look their contributions also!

Our member Car Show hot rod guy Jim Decaro showed up to help us as well as President Dan Chicketti, Kari Chicketti, Phill Celver, Sam Kamphaus, Nick DeGidio, (Rocco the dog), Therese Burns, Larry Galloway, Claude Dacorsi (Auburn City Council), Salvatore Cascone and Ronnie Beyersdorf the project manager.
Rosetta Beyersdorf and Maria Mancuso provided the coffee and sweet rolls.

Lodge Members Proudly March in the Auburn 50th Veterans Day Parade
The 2015 parade was Saturday, November 7th. Despite the rain, we had over 30 marchers from our lodge plus members of the Tacoma and Seattle lodges marched with us. Afterwards, we met for lunch at the Les Gove Park Community Center for a fantastic lunch. Nick Tarbox carried the American flag followed by Salvatore Cascone carrying the Italian flag. Banner bearers were President Dan Chicketti, Linda Tarbox and Nick DeGidio
.

The Auburn Reporter published an article about our Lodge and Ronnie's support for this annual event.

John Partridge Shares Family history during our Italian Heritage Presentation

John presented his Italian family history during our June meeting recently. John came prepared with photos and family documents for all of us to view. Trustee Linda Tarbox at the left is thinking, "How can I beat this presentation?" Great presentation John. A tough act to follow.

Mary Scoccolo Celebrates her 75th Year as a SOIA Member

NW Grand Lodge President, Tony Anderson and lodge president, Dan Chicketti present Mary with a special certificate in recognition of her lifetime dedication to the Sons of Italy. Since the National Office does not make 75 year pins, Tony had a special medal created for Mary which you can see around her neck in this photo. Mary started as a member of the Black Diamond Lodge in 1940 then changed to the Renton Lodge before finally joining the Auburn lodge.

Grazie Mary for being a special part of our lodge and our lives!
