Lodge Members March in the Auburn 50th Veterans Day Parade
This year's parade was Saturday, November 7th. Despite the rain, we had over 30 marchers from our lodge plus members of the Tacoma and Seattle lodges marched with us. Afterwards, we met for lunch at the Les Gove Park Community Center for a fantastic lunch. Nick Tarbox carried the American flag followed by Salvatore Cascone carrying the Italian flag. Banner bearers were President Dan Chicketti, Linda Tarbox and Nick DeGidio.

The Auburn Reporter published an article about our Lodge and Ronnie's support for this annual event. Read More.

Lodge Members Take Honors Again at the Home Made Wine Contest for the Sons of Italy

The 2015 John Croce Wine Festival was held again at Kennedy High School cafeteria in October (no students participated). Our past president, Nick "The Hammer" DeGidio took first place for his white wine (Charlie's Choice) and Grand Lodge President and Auburn member, Tony Anderson took 2nd place for his Zinfandel and 3rd place for his Merlot masterpieces. Congrats and bring some to the next meeting!

Team DeGidio Tackles the Kitchen Challenge
A special recognition goes out to Nick DeGidio and Vito DeGidio who volunteered to replace the drain line in the church kitchen. Over the years the cast iron drain pipe under the kitchen floor became clogged and corroded. Our team jack hammered the floor and removed six feet of the old pipe and replaced it with a new PVC section.

Thanks to the effort of our volunteers, they saved the Holy Family Church a significant repair bill which is much appreciated by the church.  Grazie Nick and Vito!

Grazie, Washington State Governor,
Jay Inslee for declaring October 2015 the Italian Cultural Month for the State of Washington!
